After stays in Berchem, Seattle and Geraardsbergen, we found our final home in this house in 1989. We spent 35 happy years here.
In this house, we watched our four children grow up from toddler to student and adolescent. It was particularly convenient to live so close to our work (University of Antwerp and St Augustine's Hospital). The house is ideal for a family of six. Four bedrooms and a large garden in which the children could play, and we ... rest.
A fond memory of our children is that during examination time or before bedtime, they could chat or play in the ‘corridor/crosswalk’ on the second floor, under the skylight.
The location is also ideal: in the green, close to parks, lots of privacy in our own garden and close to lots of schools but also close to public transport, without the bus or ambulances passing through our part of the street. On the main slip roads to motorways and at the three major hospitals, you are also in a finger's reach. Having a garage in the house is also a great convenience - never parking problems here.
In all the years we lived here, we had several renovation and beautification works done. An added bonus: the shutters at the front and back - safe and wonderful during hot summers. We hope to pass this fantastic house on to its third owners.
